Coming up for its 17th year in 2019, Borderlines is the UK’s largest rural film festival and one of the best attended film festivals nationally, achieving attendances in excess of 20,000 in 2018. It takes place over 17 days in 25 venues across Herefordshire, Shropshire, Malvern and the Marches. 30% of the programme now comprises titles showing on preview, a mix of world cinema, UK and US indies, classics, including silents with live accompaniment, documentary and local films. Borderlines is the only film festival programmed by the Independent Cinema Office.
