The Mill Restaurant and Bar

The Mill, Restaurant and Bar re opened February 2010 with Tony and Julie bringing new menu's and new ideas.
The bar is now downstairs with a seating area for bar snacks and drinks; the main dining area is upstairs with an adjacent function room available for parties, christenings and funeral teas.

Hope's Shop at Poston
The Shop at Poston is now run by Christine Hope along with their shop and Post Office at Longtown. With two outlets Christine is able to have a varied stock from the basics; bread and milk to Maps and local crafts.
Papers, bread, milk etc can be ordered for collection on your arrival by emailing []
Also available, general groceries, dog food, vegetables, drinks, preserves, sweets and ice cream.

Leisure Facilities
With 10 acres of dog walk as well as local footpaths Poston makes you and your pet welcome, and if he gets his feet all muddy you can put him in the dog wash for a wash and blow dry.
For the children we have a designated play area with climbing apparatus and alongside a games area for activities such as football, tennis, badminton, boules. For those wet days the snooker table in the games room comes into its own.
The 9 Hole pitch and Putt is set on a large field and can be accessed at all times, clubs etc are available from reception.
With a base as glorious as The Golden Valley there is no shortage of walking and nature trails both on the park and starting at the park, printed walks are available at reception for free. Fishing is available on The River Dore, The Monnow and further afield.
The Village of Peterchurch is approx 3 miles with a shop, two pubs and a church. The church has recently had a library and information point added along with local history.
With the bus stopping at the entrance of Poston there is no need to take your own vehicle out if you don’t want to, we can also offer information on hiring bikes which can be delivered for your use on a daily basis.
